Sattva
16 year old Sattva is homeschool on a farm outside Tiruvannamalai and grew up around the beaches, paddy fields, temple towns and scrub forests of rural Tamil Nadu. His passion for photography has found expression in this varied landscape and culture. He has captured images of wildlife, landscapes and people in their cultural habitat. Apart from the beautiful, his eye is drawn to moments that reveal something of the essence of a place or person. He uses a Canon EOS 1300 D with Canon 18-55 mm and Sigma 150-600mm lenses.
Life on the Ghats
This series of photographs titled “Life on the Ghats”, captures the particularity of life along the Kashi Ghats. These images were taken on Sattva’s first visit to Varanasi and he brings his entirely fresh vision to this familiar, yet ever-beguiling subject.Through the process of bringing this series to finality, he was mentored by senior photographer Dev Gogoi.
