For most of my life, my father and I lived apart, our bond maintained through digital correspondence. In an age where physical presence was replaced by online interactions, emails became lifelines that connected us. After his passing, these once mundane exchanges. These vestiges of his thoughts, his words, and his presence, were all that remained. Shorn of their functionality, they transcend the realm of the everyday, becoming timeless memory. This project is an exploration of our relationship; the visual representation of our online interactions, as mediated through me, becomes a narrative of presence, connection, and loss in the digital age. Ultimately, this book is an attempt to give form to the many formless traces of our relationship(s) that are scattered across the internet, while also exploring how the book, as art object, can be reshaped to better capture and represent the nature of such relationships and memories.
