Ek Sau Ek is a grassroots initiative that began working in partnership with 100 sugarcane farmers in August 2023, with the aim of using cutting-edge techniques to improve agricultural productivity and promote sustainability. The initiative is playing a pivotal role in Uttar Pradesh, where its work has already had a transformative effect on farming communities. These interventions and their impact are happening on the ground, rooted in real people, evolving practices, new relationships, and changed realities – photographing this work acts both as an archive and blueprint of India’s shifting agricultural landscape, while capturing the lives and communities transformed by Ek Sau Ek.
