Natalia Sharomova - Moderator

Natalia Sharomova is a photojournalist from Kyiv, Ukraine.

Natalia, an award-winning photographer, who has worked as a reporter photographer from 2009 for the leading newspaper in Ukraine. She has also worked in the Parliament, recording the most intense moments of political life and is well known for increasing the readership of the publication. Sharamova has been commissioned to make investigative documentary works in France and the Ukraine

In 2012 Sharamova was the winner of the prestigious ‘Photographer of the Year’ and from 2022 has lived and worked in Farnham, UK delivering the photography course in Creative Response as a part of the team of Activate Learning Colleague in Oxford. She has been leading the photo project UNBOWED: Stories of Ukraine and has been working as a photography mentor for Putting Ourselves in the Picture part 2 with Fast Forward and Anna Fox at University for the Creative Arts.

Anna Fox

Anna Fox is one of the most acclaimed contemporary British photographers and is Professor of Photography at the University for the Creative Arts where she currently holds an AHRC Impact Award for the project Fast Forward Women in Photography. Fox’s solo shows have been seen at Photographer’s Gallery, London and Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago. Her work has been included in multiple well renowned international group shows.

Samar Hazboun

Samar Hazboun is a Palestinian photographer who holds a masters degree in Photojournalism from the University of Westminster, a BA in International Relations, and a degree in Photo and Video Therapy. In 2019, she was a mentor for the Canon education program in Italy. In 2018 she was chosen for the JS Masterclass for the World Press Photo. She worked as a Middle East Photo Editor for AFP for over 4 years before embarking on a freelance career. She’s been published by the New York Times, Al-Jazeera, The Washington Post, The Intercept and El Pai.

Bhumika Saraswati

Bhumika Saraswati is an award-winning Indian photographer, filmmaker, and journalist whose work documents lives, narratives and landscapes that are often overlooked or erased. Raised in a Dalit household by her strong single mother, Gita, her storytelling is both deeply personal and globally resonant. Her projects examine the unequal nature of the climate crisis, particularly rising temperatures' disproportionately impacting marginalized communities, especially women in South Asia.
