Welcome to Madras Margazhi, a celebration of Chennai, Carnatic music, and the timeless tradition they share. As the heart and soul of Carnatic music, Chennai, or Madras, has long been the cultural capital of this classical art form. Through this project, we bring together 50 iconic Carnatic musicians, each captured at 50 iconic locations across Chennai, blending the rich history of the city with the musicians who continue to carry this legacy forward. This is our tribute to both the city and the extraordinary artists who are passing this heritage on to future generations.
