REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

● A bachelor's degree from a recognized university

● Spoken English is mandatory.

● Interest in photography with a working knowledge of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop

● Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

SKILLS REQUIRED

● Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

● Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects.

● Effective communication skills written and spoken for collaboration within the darkroom team.

● Technical troubleshooting skills to address equipment issues promptly.

● A sensitivity and understanding of colour and ability to finetune images based on observation and practice.

● Understanding of archival practices and preservation techniques is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Operate flatbed and DSLR scanners to digitize diverse media formats, ensuring high-quality image capture.

● Conduct routine maintenance on scanning equipment to uphold optimal performance standards.

● Collaborate with the darkroom team to coordinate and prioritize scanning projects efficiently.

● Ensure accurate color calibration and resolution settings during the scanning process.

● Implement organizational systems for the efficient management of scanned files and metadata.

● Troubleshoot technical issues related to scanning equipment and communicate with relevant support teams when needed.

● Adhere to established protocols for handling and preserving delicate originals during the scanning process.

● Maintain detailed documentation of scanning procedures and project progress.
