As a Site coordinator , you will play a vital role in supporting the installation and deinstallation of artworks, engaging with visitors, and ensuring the smooth operation of the exhibition. You’ll act as the face of the event, answering visitor queries and safeguarding the artworks on display. This role is ideal for energetic individuals who thrive in fast-paced, people-centric environments. Please note that the position is physically demanding, requiring extended periods of walking, standing, and communicating with visitors.
Your role:
Exhibition Setup & Teardown: Support the installation and deinstallation of artworks, working closely with the production team to ensure all exhibits are properly arranged and handled with care.
Visitor Engagement: Act as the go-to person for exhibition visitors, answering their questions about the artworks and the festival. Your role will be key in ensuring an informative and engaging experience for all attendees.
Art Handling & Preservation: Ensure the proper handling of exhibited artworks by visitors, politely guiding them to maintain the integrity and safety of the pieces on display.
Program Support: Assist with associated programs and events happening alongside the exhibition, contributing to the smooth execution of talks, workshops, and performances.

What You Need:
This role involves long hours of walking, standing, and talking. Be prepared for a physically demanding day that requires high energy and enthusiasm throughout.
Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is mandatory. Knowledge of Tamil is optional but highly preferred.
Job Location: Chennai, India.
Exhibition venue: VR mall Anna Nagar, Government Museum Egmore and Lalith Kala Egmore
Internship Duration:
Start Date: 1st December 2024 OR 1st January 2025
End Date: 31st March 2025
6 days per week (Sat/Sun is working)
Stipend: INR 15,000 per month (Please note, no additional support is provided for accommodation or meals)
Timings: 9 AM – 7 PM
