We are seeking an experienced and creative videographer to capture and edit engaging video content during the biennale.
The role involves documenting exhibitions, installations, artist talks, workshops, and audience interactions. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both shooting and post-production, with the ability to tell compelling visual stories that reflect the spirit of the biennale. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the festival's legacy through dynamic and impactful video content.
Key Responsibilities
Event Coverage and Filming:
Capture key moments from exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, panel discussions, and performances.
Film both formal and candid moments, showcasing the energy, interactions, and mood of the festival.
Artist and Curator Interviews:
Conduct and film interviews with artists, curators, and event participants, ensuring high-quality sound and visuals.
Installation and Venue Documentation:
Document installations and gallery spaces, focusing on lighting, spatial arrangements, and interactions between artworks and the audience.
Create establishing shots of the Biennale venues, capturing the architectural elements and branding.
Editing and Post-Production:
Edit raw footage into engaging content suitable for social media, web, and archival purposes.
Add relevant music, text overlays, transitions, and colour grading to enhance the videos.
Deliver quick turnaround edits for daily highlights, social media reels, and promotional content.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the creative team to align with the event’s visual narrative
Coordinate with curators and artists to ensure key moments and artworks are accurately documented.
Skills and Qualifications
Proven Experience:
1-2 years of experience in event videography, with a focus on art festivals, exhibitions, or cultural events.
Technical Proficiency:
Skilled in using professional video equipment (DSLR, mirrorless, iPhones) and gimbals/stabilisers.
Expertise in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci, etc).
Storytelling Ability:
Strong sense of visual storytelling with the ability to capture the emotion and energy of events.
Attention to Detail:
Ability to document installations and artworks with precision, ensuring accurate representation of colours and spaces.
Adaptability:
Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with varying schedules, lighting conditions, and locations.
Communication Skills:
Professional in interacting with artists, curators, and CPB team to meet their requirements.
Portfolio:
A compelling portfolio or showreel showcasing relevant experience in event, art, or documentary videography.
Additional Requirements
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and all weekends, throughout the duration of the biennale.
Ability to travel between multiple venues as required.
Own professional video gear, including cameras, microphones, stabilizers, and a laptop for on-site editing.
Familiarity with video usage policies when filming artworks and people.

Duration: 4 months
REMUNERATION: Rs. 15,000 per month for 4 months
