Alt:Analog - A site specific showcase of contemporary darkroom practices emerging from a 45-day residency. The exhibition took place at the Forum Art Gallery @forumartgallery from 16 Jan - 15 Feb 2025. The exhibition is a CPB Foundation project and resulted from a collaboration between CPB and Photoworks UK to bring 2 UK artists and 1 Chennai artist to the CPB Darkroom for a 45-day residency. At a time when analog media is seeing a resurgence, this exhibition was a moment to consider the various directions alternative and analog photographic practices can take. Engaging with the materials and equipment of the darkroom, each artist brought their motivations and process to create unique, one of a kind photographic works whose coming together in the exhibition is also the result of a deep camaraderie formed during the residency.
