INTRODUCTION

CPB Learning Lab is thrilled to announce the launch of the first edition of its ‘Creative Professional Workshops’ in Chennai with the generous support of PhotoSouthAsia/ MurthyNAYAK Foundation!  This is a 24-session certificate program constructed for college students interested in pursuing a career in photography, videography and visual storytelling. Selected students also get internships at the end of the program!

Building inclusive learning environments for students, especially young women, has been at the core of what we do, especially for those who may or may not have access to these opportunities otherwise. The workshops also look to build a beautiful ecosystem of educators and artists who have an opportunity to connect and collaborate on their processes to mentor the students.

PROGRAM DETAILS

WHAT IS THIS PROGRAM ABOUT?

• This is a skill development program training college students in Photography, Visual Storytelling, Videography and Soft Skills.

• For college students with a special focus on students from underserved communities and female students
• 10 - 12 students per workshop thoroughly trained across 24 sessions
• In-person sessions conducted by experts, practising artists and guest mentors
• DSLRs provided for the duration of the workshop Portfolio Development, Zines and Exhibition
• An all rounded program that prepares the youth for employment and a start in media arts
• Emphasis on expression in native language as well as in English
• Internship for 3-4 promising students after the program
