Chinky Shukla

Chinky Shukla is an independent visual storyteller based in New Delhi, India. Her work explores the themes of cultural assimilation, human condition, memory and the environment. The majority of her projects are long form photo essays looking through the layers, documenting lives, building relationships, gaining trust, using her camera to amplify stories. A Joop Swart Masterclass nominee, she is the recipient of Public Prize in 10th Days Japan International Photojournalism Award. Her ongoing project on the nuclear test site in India has been exhibited in Städtische Galerie Nordhorn in Germany, Kawasaki Peace Museum in Japan, Indian Photo Festival in Hyderabad and Kochi.
